Miranda Amey is a  Film Editor and Associate Producer based in NYC and Berlin; specializing in documentary/verite feature film, and experience in unscripted television, corporate video, narrative feature and shorts. She holds a degree in Film Studies with a production and documentary track from Vassar College, where she also studied Critical Race Theory under the Africana Studies department, and English Composition. Miranda's academic journey began at Del Mar College at the age of 14, where she graduated with three associate degrees suma cum laude before completing her high school education and continuing her studies at Vassar.

Her most recent published editorial film credit from Matthew Heineman's 2023 feature documentary "American Symphony," starring Jon Batiste. The film was acquired by the Obamas' Higher Ground Productions and Netflix, and was later shortlisted for three Oscars, ultimately receiving one nomination, marking a significant milestone in Miranda's career. It garnered acclaim with a total of 50 significant or elite award nominations, winning 21 awards in total.

Her varied work portfolio includes collaborations with renowned filmmakers and artists such as Emmy and Cannes winners, and Oscar nominees including Jason Blum, Donald Rosenfeld, Rob Reiner, Peter Sarsgaard, Zara Katz and Ray Romano. Miranda has held key roles at notable production companies, including serving as Junior Editor and Associate Producer at former CNN News anchor Soledad O’Brien’s production company, where she played integral roles in developing and casting unscripted television and documentary.

Miranda is also a writer, visual artist,  and stand up comic, who has opened for the likes of Julio Torres, Aparna Nancherla, W. Kamau Bell, and more.
